We got up and around early this morning and flew out of Zhenghzou for our final destination. We had about a two hour flight to Guangzou with a 45 minutes bus ride to the hotel. This flight was much better than the last one. Everyone did very well. The on flight meal was intertesting at best (rice, cabbage, and chicken pieces & parts).
Everyone is doing well, tired but well. We have a down day tommorrow including some tours and a nice dinner out. Then after that the meetings and paperwork start. We will leave here EARLY Friday morning (Thurs. night for those at home) for Hong Kong then catch a ride back home.
How is the weather back home? It is hot and humid in this town. It reminds us of Florida/Georgia area. This area seems to be safe and comfortable to walk around. We are on a little island within town. Well better go, Papa Johns is about to deliver our Pizza. Hope everyone is doing good at home and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Hi Kim, Pat, and girls,
The weather has been chilly until the last few days and now is in the high 60's/low 70's. You missed a lot of rain last week but things have calmed down some now. Steve and I were actually able to take the kids outside to play and pick raspberries last two nights because it was finally dry enough to let them run around. Very buggy though. Glad things are going well for your family and that Caitlin and Samantha are adjusting better. We can't wait to see you in a couple weeks when Caitlin returns to school! Praying for your safe arrival back in the states. God Bless, Connie
Hi Family,
So glad its almost over and you all will be coming home. Its been really nice the last couple
days, around 70 and sunny, the leaves are really turning youll come home to full color. And a birthday. Dave and Frank went duck and goose hunting this morning, itis most likely too sunny for a good hunt, but theyll have fun. Im glad Caitlyn is feeling better, she has alot to get used to. Give the girls a hug, and love to both of you.
Love
Mom and Dave
Hay,
Yes, the weather is nicer now.
We are getting ready for Halloween. Samantha should have fun with it this year.
Robby has a little play coming up in November, so we are going to have to make a costume for that too.
Sounds like Papa Johns will be much better than you flight dinner.
How are you on cloths for Samantha, do you need mom & I to go shopping?
Well, the count down begings to your arrival. What do you want to do for your birthday?? I wanted to have a party for you (well sorry but more for welcoming Samantha home)but not sure if it will be too overwhelming for her.
Well, 6 days to go. See you Friday.
Love Kristi
Glad to see you made it to Guangzhou! Eat at the Thai restaurant- Cow and Bridge- it was my favorite on the island. The weather is perfect here (in the 70's), but will cool off a bit at the end of the week. Have fun!! I know how anxious you must be to come home.
Patrick, Kim, the girls, Gini, and Gordy: Terry and I are looking forward to all of you stepping foot on the USA and seeing all of you.
Hi Kim and Pat.
I have been following your blog and I'm so happy for you! Watching your trip is like being there again. We were on almost identical timelines except a month apart! We were there in Sept. Our new daughter, Emma is 3, our older daughter, Lily is 7. We had Yisha as our guide. Samantha is adorable and Catlin precious! They look like happy sisters!
I'd love to stay in touch. Have a
wonderful time in Guangzhou and a safe trip home!
Blessings,
Melissa

Pat, Kim, Caitlin and Samantha,
I am getting ready to go over to the farm. We are celebrating Great-Grandpa's 92nd birthday. Great-Grandma has baked a cake and we'll have ice cream. Don't know yet if we will be having a party for Norm III.
Norm Jr., Mike, and Norm III have been harvesting soy beans. It is supposed to rain (potentially) tomorrow (Monday) night so they are trying to get them all in. There are 1 1/3 fields left at Faulkner's as well as the remainder of Newlands. Norm Jr. has been pushing it hard.... He started at Newlands around noon, and he hasn't stopped all day.
The last two days were around 80degF, sunny, with a light breeze,..beautiful Indian Summer weather. The leaves have started to turn, and they are turning fast. At the beginning of the week, the trees looked like they were frosted with yellows/oranges/reds. Now there are masses of yellow/orange/red color among the trees.
We are missing you all and anxious to see you when you get home.
All of our love,
Dad (Grandpa O) and Marta (Gramma)
